KETCH

Like a sail flowing in the wind, Ketch is a continuum of curves and surfaces in tension, optimized for comfort and supported by a light metal frame of steel rods.

Ketch is padded and completely upholstered with leather or fabric.

As Bartoli Design explains, “The name Ketch comes from a sailboat typology. We drew inspiration from the nautical world where we’ve been fascinated by sails flowing in the wind, stretched and curved at the same time, without interruption. We felt a sense of ease and calmness in those shapes: with Ketch we wanted to communicate the same sensations.

In Ketch you can find the synthesis found in sailboats, characterized by functionality and essentiality. This approach has been followed in our design as well, where we have worked by subtraction, keeping just the bare minimum to make the chair simple, comfortable and identifiable.”
